Sensei Aaron Sensei Aaron was born and raised in the warmth and serenity of Honolulu,
Hawaii. Inspired by the strength and honor of his Grandfather, Itsuki Oshita
and the incredible athletic achievements of his father Arthur Oshita,
Sensei Aaron began his martial arts career in the summer of 2000 at the
Japan International Karate Center in Pearl City, Hawaii. He was twelve years
old.
After 3 months of tedious training under the strict discipline of
Sensei Russell Titus, Sensei Aaron entered his first competition, winning
gold in forms and silver is sparring. The success of his first tournament
sparked a flame for competition and winning.
After a successful transition to the rank of first dan (Black Belt) in 2003,
Sensei Aaron's hunger for competition drove him to become a member of the
JIKC Hawaii Competition Team.
By the summer of 2005, Sensei Aaron qualified second for the USANKF
National Championships, where he secured a third place finish and landing a
spot on the Jr. Pan American Team. In 2006, he returned to the National
Championships to claim two silver medals in separate events.
During his early college years, he worked as a youth and adult
swimming instructor as well as a physical education and gymnastics teacher.
During his free days, he teaches sport kumite (sparring) at the University
of Hawaii where he is currently studying for a degree in journalism.
By the fall of 2005, Sensei Aaron had already begun to expand his
knowledge of martial arts under the forms of western style Boxing,
Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with the help and discipline
of coach, David Begley. Sensei Aaron incorporates the techniques and
